Did you read his 1st one too? I really loved 'Everything is Illuminated', but I think I liked this book better. He writes so damn well.

I haven't read that one yet - now, I know I should, and I really do WANT to, but I'm rubbish when it comes to reading. About 70% of the books I own are only partly read, or not read at all... I'm with books the way a lot of girls are with clothes (i.e. I buy them just to buy them, and never actually use them). I should really get my shit together some day. I've actually denied myself the purchase of books until I've read all of my other books :P

He DOES write damn well, you're right!

It's ridiculous, especially because there are SO MANY books I REALLY WANT to read... but I just never get around to it :no:
I'm hoping to get a lot of reading done this summer (which is almost here in Australia), because I'm sick of feeling like I'm missing out. I really need to work on getting motivated >.<

You'll enjoy 'Everything is Illuminated', it's very similar to 'Extremely Loud...' in structure, and his imagery is stunning as per usual. Have you seen the film? It was different to the book in many ways... but still terrific :)
